1/5000 of a second is the winning margin between Lyes and second place Kishane Thompson from Jamaica. This was the closest final since at least in Moscow in 1980. So how did he do it?

He leaned forward at just the right time. According to Mike Tirico, the rules state that Olympic race results are determined by the leading runners’ toros crossing the finish line.

“Fresh Updates from the Running World”

Nike’s running shoe is now $100 off

Yes I know, it is not the Alphaflys nor the Vaporflys but it has been reviewed as Nike’s most comfortable running shoes.

Yes, these are Nike Invincible 3 running shoes and they are currently heavily discounted from $190 to only $114.97 (save extra with code SPORT25) for a final price of $86.

The comfort comes from their supportive design at the midsole using Nike ZoomX technology. A lightweight and responsive foam design to maximize speed and energy response while ensuring comfort making them the perfect daily trainers!

Also, may I add that this is the same exact technology in the Alphaflys, the shoes that Eliud Kipchoge used to run that infamous sub-2-hour marathon in 2019.

A few triathletes got sick from Swimming in La Seine

Looks like Paris seems to have fallen short on its goal of cleaning up the Seine River for open-water swimming at the 2024 Olympics.

Clair Michel, a Belgian Olympic athlete in the women's triathlon, got sick after swimming in the Seine River from her race last Wednesday. Concerned about her health and the river's water quality, she and her team decided to skip the mixed triathlon event.

Swiss officials also shared that Adrien Bifford fell ill with a stomach infection after competing in the Seine on Wednesday’s event.

Well, it’s obvious that the $1.5 Billion was not enough to keep our athletes safe!

What do you think? Should Paris have spent that much money or should they have explored a different solution?

Forget Tinder or Bumble, let’s go run!

Run clubs are popping up everywhere and are getting plenty of attention from singles

Nowadays, people are ditching clubs, bars or even dating apps and are now going to run clubs for social hours. And they are doing so in a big way, In this article written by CBS News, Chicago Run Collective has upwards of 1,000 attendees, you heard that right 1000!

Can you imagine running into 1000 people on your morning walk? I’ll spare your imagination, here is a TikTok of a similar run club from the Venice Run Club in CA.

I honestly do not find running clubs to be a bad thing. In my opinion, run clubs are great for you. There you can find whatever you may look for, motivation, community, coaching, or even a potential romantic partner.

With all of that you are also moving and getting healthier even if you are walking! So this is definitely a trend I’m backing.

Are sports technology getting too advanced?

Tech doping is the term used for this specific practice, a practice of using technology to enhance athletes performance beyond their natural physical abilities.

The debate poses a recurring question within the athletics governing authorities community. And that question is, What technology is considered tech doping and what isn’t?

Cleo Abram covers this topic very well in her latest video.
